Jun 27 I just replaced all the capacitors in the power supply of my iMac G5. And it works. Not only am I a nerd…I’m a pretty good one.

Jun 21 There are a bunch of homeless people in Venice that park their vans there. The city is considering banning overnight parking, so these people would have to go somewhere else. There isn’t really anywhere else to go I don’t think. And Venice would no longer be Venice if they did this. It’s a tough one because the residents are tired of cleaning up trash some of them leave behind.

Jun 20 I have a first generation iMac and apparently Apple bought some shitty capacitors from Taiwan for their power supplies and motherboards and they leak or short out or something. So the computer just randomly shuts off, as if someone just pulled the plug. I already got the power supply replaced a year ago ($190) and I guess it should have been free. Now it’s bad again. There is some dude online that sells high quality capacitor kits that you can replace yourself if you’re handy with the soldering iron.I just thought I’d share this with the world.
